The U.S. has millions of farms. Some are large agribusinesses and others are small farms that have been handed down from generation to generation. Every type of farm can benefit from farm insurance, although the coverage limits and some of the risk protections may be different.

Farm Owners coverage: This is very similar to a homeowner’s policy except it is for farms and ranches. The coverage includes the dwelling, other structures on the property, contents/personal belongings, loss of use-pays for your living expenses in case the house is damaged by a covered event, and personal liability coverage. It can also cover farm equipment and tenant dwellings located on the property.

Farm Auto coverage: Again, this is very similar to a commercial auto policy but it is specialized for vehicles that are used on a farm or ranch.
